Upgrading your EIBPORT V3 Firmware

Selecting the EIBPORT
Choose the desired EIBPORT from the „Device Discovery“ list (make sure it is highlighted in green).
Entering data / Choosing the firmware file
Enter the correct information and choose the right firmware file. (the correct file extension is "*.bin"" -> Firmware update archives downloaded from our website must be extracted first).

NOTE: Please create a new backup before updating your device!

CAUTION: Please do not unplug the device from its power supply during the update process!
Applying the update
Click on Start EIBPORT Update.
The EIBPORT LEDs indicate the update progress
The LEDs help you understand which phase the upgrade is currently in

Phase 1: Firmware Transfer
Phase 2: Update Preparations
Phase 3: Update
Phase 4: Reboot
Phase 5: Device Updated and Ready

Phase 1:	Firmware Transfer (ca. 5 minutes)
Power	Glows green
BMX	Glows green and blinks red depending on traffic
EIB	Glows green and blinks red depending on traffic

LAN	Glows green and blinks red depending on traffic
Phase 2:	Update Preparations (ca. 5 minutes)
Power	Blinks alternatingly red/green
BMX	Blinks red
EIB	OFF

Phase 3:	Update (ca. 40 minutes)
Power	Blinks orange
BMX	Blinks red
EIB	Blinks red
	OFF / Blinks red (progress indicator)

Phase 4:	Reboot (ca. 5 minutes)
Power	Glows orange
BMX	LED Test

Phase 5:	Device Updated and Ready

NOTE: After an update, the device is reset to factory settings. The login credentials are:

Username	admin
Password	eibPort

You can now restore your configuration using the backup file. Please also clear the cache on all visualisation clients, and reload the visualisation.
